The Junior Commonwealth games opened on Tuesday. Wednesday saw the individual Time Trial take place over a 5.8 mile course.

Winners Edge rider Mathew Olivera took gold with a time of 12.06. Kaden Hopkins just missed out on a top three, finishing 6th with a time of 12.25.

Bicycle Works own Alyssa Rowse took Bronze with a time of 13.47. Only the top three girls broke  the 14 minute barrier.

These youngsters join a very elite group of previous medalists including the likes of Cadel Evans and Geraint Thomas.
