BWCC TERMS & CONDITIONS
THE CLUB
The Bicycle Works Cycling Club is the official members club. The Bicycle Works Cycling Club will often be abbreviated to ‘The BWCC. The BWCC is an inclusive club of likeminded individuals, and members are encouraged to get to know each other both on and off the Bike. The BWCC will uphold the values, ethos and reputation of Bicycle Works.
MEMBERSHIP
The BWCC is a club for likeminded members who will treat all other BWCC members with the respect and courtesy they would extend to friends and family. BWCC members are encouraged to participate and create their own rides and invite other members to join them.
RIDING & RACING
BWCC members will uphold good riding etiquette and camaraderie. Members will greet other riders on the road, wait for dropped riders, and help those in need.
The BWCC is a riding and racing club. Therefore races must be undertaken in Club colours. Training rides and social spins will be a regular feature of club membership. BWCC members should never ride more than two abreast when riding in a group. BWCC riders are encouraged to race and enter other competitive cycling events. The BWCC honours the ‘lanterne rouge’ in every race; The BWCC recognises the suffering needed just to survive.
KIT REQUIRMENTS
The BWCC believes in creativity in cycling style, as long as it is done with panache and individuality. BWCC members are encouraged to wear official BWCC kit on all BWCC rides, and must wear the official BWCC kit when racing for the club. The wearing of helmets is mandatory on all BWCC rides.
BENEFITS.
Club apparel can be purchased at substantial discounts. 10℅ discount on all goods purchased at Bicycle Works for members of BWCC. Repair labor rates will be waived or substantially reduced for personal bicycles of members of BWCC.
